The One Game To Build More Cognitive Abilities And Skills In A 20-24 Month Old Toddler
By playing this game daily your child's brain will get a workout due to it not being too easy. Also it will target the memory and the skills needed for identifying and thinking out of the box.
1. The Alphabet Soup Game
This is an active and engaging way to introduce and expose your child to letters and the alphabet. This alphabet-identifying game can be done daily; it’s more of a teaching game, so play in moderation. This game has three adaptations that can be completed as your child improves at each step.
Make up and sing an alphabet song. Sing the alphabet with your child; for each letter, come up with one object that starts with that particular letter. For example, A is for apple.
Make a paper alphabet soup. Cut out and decorate paper letters and place them into a deep basket together. Then take turns pulling out a letter and calling it out together.
Cook an authentic alphabet soup. Make a real alphabet soup using a variety of vegetables and alphabet pasta letters. Ask your child to help by picking out the vegetables and getting the bowls and spoons. Call out each ingredient and the letters they begin with as you put them in the pot.
